    2. for the first time the use of steel, Iron, Poured Concrete was happening, which confirmed advanced British Structural Engineering Standard.
    3. they focused on thinner wall and pointed archs, and crucified ground plan in their churches

  • Eg: St. Paul Cathedral @ Kolkatha, Victoria Memoria @ Kolkata (William Emerson), Gateway of India (G.Wittit ), Victoria Terminus in Mumbai

After 1911 => Neo roman
  • Started when Delhi was made Capital of India.
  • the new architecture of delhi majorly developed by Edwin Luytens and Herbert Baker.
  • features
    • anonymous construction (without any interesting features) => because of the confluence of many styles it has been criticized for being congested and without any interesting features
    • they focused on circular building
    • simplicity, modernity, and utility was compromised due to hybrid nature
